Read the passage below and answer the questions that follow.
ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES
Dakar is a great place for shopping. A lot of trading goes on here and you can get things from all over West Africa. There are a lot of street vendors, selling all kinds of goods. Down at the port is a big market where the tourists go. But watch the prices here and don’t forget: you mustn’t pay the first price the trader asks. You are expected to haggle.
In the colourful markets you can find plenty of bargains from food and clothes to handmade crafts and electronic goods. Kermel and Sandaga are the best markets .Here you can find fruits, vegetables and flowers as cloths and fabrics. The visitor can mingle with the locals as they do their daily shopping. Few people come away from the market without buying at least one souvenir. This is because the bargain sometimes is unsuccessful. The buyer and the seller may haggle, but finally not agree on a price. Most times they blame the wholesalers or the manufacturers for constantly increasing prices on the market.
Dakar also has a few specialty markets.  The open –air market of Soumbedioune has a lot of products  and crafts from all over Africa. Here you can buy “colourfulboubous”, handmade baskets, jewelleries and leather goods. For fabrics, the HLM market is unbeatable .You can wonder around the stalls stacked highly coloured cottons and sticks. Shopping in Dakar is extremely wonderful.
